NARRATOR, A young, highly stressed man: This apocalypse started as a dream, tugging
at my curiosity during one innocent morning. Then this same dream reoccurred night
after night, pulling at my psyche, controlling my thoughts. Finally, the dream became
my obsession, possessing me, so that I no longer needed to sleep. My new need seized
the very fibers of my body, ordering me to act upon my vision. So! I must find
a way to get arrested, and it must be a crime ugly enough to get me imprisoned.
